    Routing protocols

    Hey just a question, Iv'e been doing a bit of cisco work and i was wondering what routing protocol linux uses, and is it possible to use ospf or rip ??

    Its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you havent done :P

    This is old I believe gated has replaced routed.

    Yep it has.

    gated [options]

    TCP/IP command. Gateway routing daemon. gated handles multiple routing protocols and replaces routed and any routing daemons that speak the Hello, EGP, or BGP routing protocols. gated currently handles the RIP, BGP, EGP, Hello, and OSPF routing protocols and can be configured to perform all or any combination of the five.
