It is not possible without Windows emulation software. Valve will not allow the porting of Counter Strike to Linux, and until that is done there will be no Linux binaries for Counter Strike.

    Re:Pure Linux Counter-Strike?

Does anyone know why Valve won't allow Linux binaries for Counter-Strike?

I heard there was a petition, and even some promises from "Valve" that a port was being made. But now it appears that there will never be any such move.

Let me know if anyone knows why?
