Yes, and Red Hat already has it.
To enable it type
service smb start
or
type
setup
This will take you to a menu where u choose system services or someething colse to that, in that list there is smb, make sure you put an asterix in the square next to it by pressing the space bar. This will make it automatically start up everytime you boot.
note all the configuration is done in /etc/samba/smb.conf
read the documentation in BROWSING.txt
find this with
locate BROWSING.txt
