unable to install nds on caldera 3.1

I uninstalled openldap,and openslp from the pkg mgr on caldera 3.1 openserver; now I cant install NDS novell edirectory. would like to know how to install this or reinstall
openldap,and openslp w/o reinstalling OS; new to Linux run cmd foreign to me. Please HELP

Hmmm, I don't know anything about Caldera's package mgr it probably has a way to install packages, but you can also just install the packages you removed from your cd's.

Find out which cd openldap,and openslp are on then:

cd /full/path/to/directory/where/rpms/are
rpm -Uvh openldap*.rpm openslp*.rpm

That will re-install them.

Caldera appears to have a couple of exstensive docs on 3.1.

I installed Caldera once from cd's I picked up at Comdex just to play with it, but that was years ago.
