Yeah, but it is also very difficult to write viruses for Linux because almost all Linux boxes are different. For example, you might be able to execute a buffer overrun on a SUSE machine, but Fedora has specific measures to stop buffer overruns.

Not to mention all the different means to distribute one would have to take into consideration. Firefox, Opera, Lynx, Links, Galeon, KDE's thing and more. Thunderbird, pine, Evolution.. The list goes on.
The structures are different, and distros are different, people make it their own, change it. Patches will be released if a virus actually makes it.
Face it. Linux is teh shiz.
