    Mandrake-Linux 8.2

Help! Just installed this new distribution and I'm getting
segmentation faults on boot. Is there a way I can comment out something?

    Thanks

    :'(

I'm wondering if this was a bad install because the program loads with a "system did not shut down cleanly", then enters an interactive log with a file integrity check, I opt for repair hda2 and it appears to do that, enters level 5 init and then I see this zu_args -t30? with a 655? segmentation fault. Do I have to intercept that start up somehow with my login information and enter a command to view files? Sorry this is sketchy due to fact that the screens change very fast............

    Thanks

Can you post a complete and detailed list of your hardware in your system.

Going to have to see the exact error message displayed when it seg faults. Better if you can post from about the last 5 lines before it seg faults.
