    Run lilo

I'm trying to compile a new kernel, using the kernel how to directions. I'm stuck now at the point of " you must RERUN LILO to update the loading map". What do I have to do to run lilo?

    Re:Run lilo

The dir is not necessary. Edit your /etc/lilo.conf file to match the settings that you have specified, then just type /sbin/lilo at the command line interface aka. (Terminal).
