you are right its the same here in Austria i bought a 512mb stick for 100 euros last summer now the price has doubled :-/
Has the price of RAM shot up around the world? or is it just here (UK)?
I bought 256MB PC2100 CL2.5 for £27 about four or five months ago, yet today I'll have to shell out ~£75 for the same stick.
I know there was a huge price rise when Korea (or was it Tiawan?) had thier big earthquake a while back, but I hadn't heard about anthing similar happening recently.

Taiwan earthquake didn't affect much of the market since all the semiconductor companies are as well affected and the price didn't seems to rise .....
At least here in the US, the price trend had been downward ..... My local shop is selling for PC2100 256 MB for $ 87.00 which you can basically get at pricewatch for about $ 52.00 plus shipping .....
