Is this an IDE burner? In that case you need scsi emulation enabled in your kernel.
I got cloverm's scanner and I bought a scsi card for it but now that I got it setup I cant access my burner... cdrecord -scanbus now shows this:
Thanks for your helpCode:Cdrecord 1.10 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2001 Jörg Schilling Linux sg driver version: 3.1.22 Using libscg version 'schily-0.5' scsibus0: 0,0,0 0) * 0,1,0 1) * 0,2,0 2) * 0,3,0 3) * 0,4,0 4) * 0,5,0 5) ' ' 'Scanner ' '1.60' Scanner 0,6,0 6) * 0,7,0 7) *

I have scsi cdrom support(for my ide burner).. And I had it working like that before.. It used to be Sr0 or Sg0..
BTW did you get your check?
Yes, I got the check, thanks!
What do you get for (as root):
cat /proc/scsi/scsi
hum - can you specify SCSI bus - instead of SCSI bus0 SCSI bus1 , if not i would remove the modules for the SCSI card and then install the modules for IDE-SCSI emulation,
cloverm I get:
pbharis:Code:Attached devices: Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 05 Lun: 00 Vendor: Model: Scanner Rev: 1.60 Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 04
How would I specify that?
im not sure on how to specify a different scsi bus... and i am at work right now.
On the Scanner, you should have termination pins to do so .... It's done via the jumpers.....
It's like this.
The first two pins swithed on = 0
The second two pins swithed on = 1
Both first and second pins switched on = 2
and work you way up like that.....
HTH ....
BTW what happened with XVscan.. I read is not available for purchase... Is it free now? ;D
