I'm not sure you realize what is involed in flying a modern day jet. If you've never flown before then you'll really going to be at a disadvantage when you begin your trainning. I suggest you look at a game for Win95/98 (*puke*) called Falcon 4.0. In is original form the game barely runs, however after it's completely patched, and you've added the eFalcon patch, and the RP5 patch then the game will be very much functional and is the best simulation to date on what it is like to be a military pilot.

It comes with a 600+ page manual that you will need to read probably several times before you're capable of handleing yourself in the air. Once you do get the basics down you will still need to refine your technique because I don't care how well you know the systems; a veteran pilot will show you that you don't.

Anyway I wish you the best of luck, and hope you come back in one peace. If you ever need someone to practice with in that game give me a buzz I'll fly with you. BTW the game can be had for about 20 bucks now. It came out in 1998 and is still the #1 all time military flight sim.

I have played that game since the day it came out on shelves, it was the first game I owned. Also on top of that I have flown small cessna planes with my dad since I was 6 years old. I know what is involved, and I know what it is like to be in the sky in complete control, there is nothing like it! Why do you think I have been obsessed with flying since I can remember!

Well then you might just be ready to begin life in the military. It's no can of beans though. What Virtual Squadren do you fly with if any?

I used to be with the 214th Predators, but then I moved to the 666th Slackers do to time constraint's however I'm thinking about rejoining the 214th.
