    Slackware...please don't go

I can't bring up the Slackware page and the e-mail I sent to Pat has been returned as undeliverable. I fear that the granddad may be shutting down...I can hit the ftp server, but the web page and e-mail don't seem to be functioning. Anyone else?

    Re: Slackware...please don't go

I know that a lot of Slackers were fearing that Slack was going to die, because the other main developers went and started something else like a job or something, don't know ??? So maybe this is it, maybe this is the end....we'll see if the Slackers can pick up the slack!

As much as I enjoy Slack, if it does die, I'll be happy running LFS with a BSD style boot all the same.

Maybe they are just taking advantage of the hoilday to work on their website. I can't see Slackware shutting down.

I think Slack is dead actually...this is my gut feeling. It is just a wait and see thing for me to whether the slackers pick up the code and go on with it.
