Configuring proxy server for lynx or links?

    Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out how to configure a proxy server for lynx and/or links? I did a little research online but didn't have much luck finding anything.

    Thanks for the help.

Re: Configuring proxy server for lynx or links?

Look in /usr/share/docs/ This is from the docs for links on my RH 7.2 install. Lynx is depreciated on 7.2

    2.5.3 HTTP and FTP Proxies

You can get Links to work through the HTTP and FTP proxies given by your access provider.

Either use the menu system (Setup --> Network options) or add and edit these lines in your Links.cfg file:

    http_proxy webproxy:8080
    ftp_proxy fileproxy:8080
