Thread: Email Notifications

    Question Email Notifications

It seems I'm getting notified every time there is a new post on the forum. I don't think I'm subscribed to any threads. Is this normal behaviour?
My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive.

As a moderator, the default setting is the notification per post. I can modify it to notifications per new thread instead, or none at all.

Which would you like? I can change it immediately.

My preference would be once per thread. What do you guys think?

I agree. Once per thread (say when a new thread is started) would be good. That keeps the space hogging email down (especially if OpenFree becomes an uber-site). Anyway, just my two cents.

    Cheers

P.S. Good to see you again, Jorge!

Thanks for the feedback. I have reduced it to once per thread for all moderators.

That is better Peter. Thank you, I had a filter set up to redirect them to a seperate folder. So I wouldn't see the emails immediately, but when I did the folder would be full of unread messages.

I'm still getting a message every time someone posts...

I have updated the settings for everyone. It should be activated only for new threads.
