Which one is it???
Case in point of idiot gnome users. Anyone know the "hot key" for switching workspaces with keyboard instead of mouse?
-R
nevermind :-[ found it :-X
Desktop > preferences > keyboard shortcuts > switch to workspace options
They were disabled, so I made them ctrl-1 - ctrl-8 and ctrl-left ctrl-right for cycling through them
The regular scheme is using alt+Fx for switching to vts and alt+[1-9] or the arrows to switch between tabs/workspaces.
However I only ever use one workspace so I can't test that.
This is not really a reply. As a nubie using Gnome, perhaps I qualify for the idiot classification. I do, however, have a question.
My workspace switcher disappeared from the desktop. I can access it by using Ctrl-Alt-arrow but any and every effort to move it to the corner of the desktop where it previously resided has been futile. It will return to hiding no matter what I try.
My hope is that one of you will be able to tell me how to get my icon back. I miss it.
Thanks, and may all your children be beautiful and brilliant
Muddler,
Have a look at this link, it is for the workspace switcher in gnome
Basically it says to right click on the panel and follow Add to panel -->Workspace Switcher (you need to scroll down to find it), then select it and it should re appear![]()
