Open Source Journal/Diary Program

All,

I've been searching for a macjournal-like program that will run under Linux. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be such a program. Obviously, I can use abiword or OOo, but the later might just be overkill (too bloated/slow overall). Any suggestions? I'm looking for primarily a program to keep personal journal entries (I already have a blog but I don't want to use it for the more personal musings). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check GTK+ Journal, or check the ones available at Freshmeat.
