    OS Alt to QuickBooks

    Try TurboCash http://www.turbocashuk.com/index.html

I haven't used it myself, but someone I know has tried it. It has it's limitations of course, but it also can import QB data files, at least for the one my friend converted from, QB '03. Again, don't know about compatibility with newer versions of QB. I'm sure that QB tries to make sure it's incompatible.

My 2 cents and good luck.

Those ought to keep you busy The first is fully FLOSS. The other two are proprietary/closed source solutions. MyBooks interests me deeply and I may be interested in buying that. Off the top of my head, I believe there may be a copy of Linux Journal somewhere that has a year or two old review of a bunch of this stuff. Perhaps google will aid me (usually does).

Would something like GnuCash fit the bill?
Why are you not using Fedora Core?

This is probably the closest you can get to QB due to it's features, and that it's another double entry bookkeeping software.
