CGA turns to the Dark Side

I am switching to Windows XP as my primary desktop OS. It's really a business decision. I have to use M$ Office and Access to be compatible with my clients. That's just the way it is. I need to be able to run Quickbooks as well. I will continue to use as my Free and Open Source software as I can (Firefox, Thunderbird, Filezilla, putty, and so forth). Still running FreeBSD on the servers.

    Life's a bitch.

Considering how crappy Access is, I'd be afraid that it would lock Crossover and Linux! Hard!

I truly despise Access. What a hunch of crap!

    [stepping off of Access soapbox]

    Cheers

Crashing wine rarely kills the OS or X even. There needs to be a serious misconfiguration for that to occur. As for Access, I have been using that under Crossover for some time with no issues.

I know, I was just venting my frustrations with Access. Of course, it was probably the fault of the person who designed two Access databases for us here at work. Of course, that's the cool thing about Linux and X...you might crash a program, but you rarely crash the whole kit.

    Cheers

I'm considering a mercy killing, cga has clearly lost his mind and the will to live.

Yeah, bad Access programs can make life really crummy. I try to make at lease software that is usable by most. But I had used some really retarded Access porgrams that were hacked worse than Windows itself.
