Hey guys, one of the bigger hosting companies in the country, directnic ( http://directnic.com ) is located in the Central Business District in New Orleans.

They've got a crew thats been in their datacenter since last weekend, working tech support and keeping things running there.

they have also been running a web cam out the window, taking photos on walks and writing a blog. It makes pretty good reading.

As a side note, the company I work for National Net, has been helping them out by providing secondary hosting.

I heard that they're getting the Blackberry servers and some Wi-Fi stuff back up to normal now. Must mean some electrical power is back on (somewhere).

Yea, they're bring the city back on line slowly so they can get the pumps and infrastructure up. Some of the hotels already have power.
