    TTF font support

Quick question for Ubuntu Horay 64.

What package do I need to install in order to get TTF fonts working? How to check if it's already enabled? Or how to install new TTF fonts Ubuntu way? I have a special TTF font need to install for a forum.

    TIA

    Quoting from the reply:

You need "universe" in your sources.list

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts

    Code:
    $ sudo apt-cache show msttcorefonts
    Package: msttcorefonts

    Re:TTF font support

That seems to be not in 64 bits version.
    Code:
    compunuts@sienna64:/usr/bin$ sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree... Done
Package msttcorefonts is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package msttcorefonts has no installation candidate
    compunuts@sienna64:/usr/bin$
Even though I have universe in my sources.list

    Code:
    ## Uncomment the following two lines to add software from the 'universe'
    ## repository.
    deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hoary universe
    deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hoary universe

    Re:TTF font support

    One more thing ..

I don't actually NEED MS TTF fonts. I need a way to support TTF font so that I can use my own TTF font under Ubuntu Horay64.

    TIA

    Re:TTF font support

Well, turns out, TTF font support is already built into Ubuntu. All I have to do is manually add the fonts to the "/usr/share/fonts/truetype/openoffice/" location and all is good.

Thanks for the link though. I followed the forum's discussion and found the answer.
