Problems on Linux boot

Helllo group,

since yesterday I have a problem to boot my SUSE Linux Partition.
The boot goes up to sounddriver and wants to reload the old configuration and then nothing go on. Any idea to take off tahe sound configuration?

Is the sound card onboard? If not, remove the card and see if you can boot.
Otherwise, try a LiveCD like knoppix so you can see if its a hardware or a software problem.
