    Content Management Systems

Hey guys, I'm hoping one of you guys has an answer to this.
I've got a bunch of articles I'd like to publish on my website, and I'd kind of like to allow users of my forums (SMF) to be able to add their own articles.
I don't need a portal system like phpnuke, I just need something simple, like the PET section here.

So the question is, what do you recommend for a CMS?

Are you looking for something like:

    http://phpems.sf.net

    ?

I wrote a php CMS a while ago, unfortunately, my HDD crashed and I lost it. It wouldn't be too hard to do, and I'd recommend you try it as a project. But if you're lazy, search freshmeat for stuff with the word "news" in it, since that's the most common implementation of a CMS.

    Re:Content Management Systems

opensourceCMS.com has the ability to try the different content management systems out from their website. Give them a try.

Here is a quote from the home page of the site:

This site was created with one goal in mind. To give you the opportunity to "try out" some of the best php/mysql based free and open source software systems in the world. You are welcome to be the administrator of any site here, allowing you to decide which system best suits your needs.

    Cheers

    Re:Content Management Systems

Hey guys, thanks for all the suggestions. Everything I see so far is way more than I need.
Perhaps I'll brush up on perl or php and create my own, unless somebody can send me the sources to the PET section here on LJR...
