    CUPS Admin/Root User

    Hi guys,

    I've installed CUPS on FreeBSD. I access and when I try to add a printer I type root and the password for the loggin. But it dosen't take it. What's the prob?

    The user must be a member of the cups system group. Depending on your distro, it varies (In Debian, it's lpadmin). You can check the name of your cups system group in "SystemGroup" directive of your cupsd.conf file, again in my Debian, it's in /etc/cups/ .
