    Inbox Monitor/Mail Checker

    Hi,

Anyone know of a mail checker for gnome that supports pop ssl? I need one that will run a command if I have new mail.

Other wise how can I set this up in crontab?

    Thanks!

    Re:Inbox Monitor/Mail Checker

Mail-Notification http://www.nongnu.org/mailnotify/ is a fantastic notifier. Does exactly what you want, and is completely invisible when you don't have any mail. SSL is disabled in the Debian package due to a "licensing issue" that the maintainer hopes to resolve soon. I'm sure if this affects you you can compile your own from source.

EDIT: Just checked. It's only the debian package in the official repos that has SSL disabled. If you grab the Debian binary from the page linked above, it's enabled.
