Linux versions supporting AMD Athlon 64

I've just recently put together a system around an AMD Athlon 64 3400+ and I want to put Linux on it. Could anyone tell me what versions of Linux support Athlon 64s? I've been reading that there are problems with them. Thanks.

    Awesome. Thank you.

I apologize for being so newbie.

Everyone has been a newbie once. No need to apologize.

That list might be outdated. Nowadays, most major distributions have a 64biit version.
