I was suddenly sent to Germany last week by work - what a beautiful country! I wish my wife and kids were here - but it is still a great place.
cheers!

Apparently neither does Montana.
Ho yay ! I will think about moving to Montana. ;D
Well, actually, the autobahn's speed limit is 160km/hr. It is rarely enforced unless you drive stupid. That was one of the questions on the test I took in order for me to drive in Europe some years back.
As for Montana...they changed their speed limits to 75mph during daylight and 65mph during hours of darkness. At least that was the speed limit some years back. It could very well have changed again.
Germany is indeed a very beautiful country. I even met my wife there, though she is American. The region that I used to live in was very wet and rainy, much like England. When the sun does come out it is a very gorgeous shade of green. They have laws governing trees. You cut one down, you plant two. Seems reasonable to me.
Cheers
well i am back, it was nice to see it. would like to go again sometime. i was doing about 180 kmph on the A3 - the posted limit was 120, but no one was going that slow...
