I just installed Ubuntu and was wanting to bypass the login screen.
Anyone know how to do this? I don't want to have a password to login. I want it to load right to the desktop, like the live cd does.
thanks

Run the following command:
Under "General" enable the "Login user automatically on first bootup" option, then under the drop down box choose which user you'd like to be logged in at bootup.Code:sudo gdmsetup
Close the application, and reboot if you'd like to test the setup.
thank you very much ;D

"Ctrl+Alt+BackSpace" would do the same without rebooting.
Yeah, I have the same setup. It's all good. 8)
