    Still can't get nvidia card to work.

    I have fresh FC 3 install. And followed these instructions on fresh install:

    then my computer froze on start up and i did this:

    Question: Have you seen this? (It's from the Fedora FAQ you referenced earlier... It's question No. 4.)

    # Q: I have an nVidia graphics card, and my computer freezes when it's booting!
    A: This is a problem with the "Red Hat Graphical Boot" (RHGB) screen and the nVidia drivers. To get your computer to boot, you can temporarily disable RHGB:

    1. When you first start your computer, the GRUB screen (where you choose your Operating System) appears. Select the Fedora that you want to boot into, but press the a key instead of pressing Enter.
    2. You will see a line somewhat like the following:

    kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.6-1.435 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet

    Remove the word "rhgb" from that line, and then press Enter.

    Now the computer will start up.

    Now, to prevent this problem from happening in the future, follow the nVidia installation instructions in this FAQ.

    Question 4 only gets you past graphical boot. But when it tries to load x with my wm it freezes.

    Going to try to take a look at the logs.

    I erased all my xorg logs. And started x then obtained this log. Don't see what could have done it except it not finding apm in bios.

    Well as I noted in my FC3 tips thread, there is a series of /dev entries that aren't copied correctly in the installer. After running the installer for nVIDIA's drivers do that. Then just wipe out DRI out of your x configuration. You should be okay.

    Re-installed nvidia packages (new kernel) through yum. Followed your tip. No dri modules. My boxs still freezes on starting x.
