Playing asf stream in mplayer

I am trying to play this stream in mplayer or any other Linux program:

No go. AFAIK mplayer is supposed to support asf streams. I can't figure out why this one won't play. I tested it on Windows Media Player and of course it plays fine, so the stream is good.

Well, same things happens to me as well. I can play all the other formats - wav, mpeg, etc. I am using mplayerplug-in. I have no idea.

maybe that url can help. this link contains all the codecs for mplayer including windows ones i think?
