    Interested in Wardriving with Linux?

    I have a website/tutorial for anyone interested in setting up their
    laptop to wardrive with gps and what not. Dual booting windows
    and linux is addressed in detail.

    Is that actually legal? I feel sorry for the people that obviously don't know about a security and then they cop this. I know if I found a hotspot, I would be downloading like crazy!

    From what I've found out... Some hotspots are just open to the world (or the range within their antena anyway); and some are firewalled. Even the free one I used at a hotel was firewalled because they wanted to know who I was first (and to safeguard their server from any kiddie-porn or free music I would engage in downloading :roll: ). After the free registration, I was able to surf away.
