On Friday I was at the Air Traffic Control Systems Command Center in Herndon, VA. I was watching a demonstration in the main command center (think War Games) where they track all of the IFR flights in the US. After I got bored with them picking an airport and then showing the map with all the little red and white airplane icons, I started to observe the OSes being used. Well, all of the computers where running Windows 2000, except the computers that ran the tracking software. They had a beautiful red fedora icon in the lower left hand corner. Very cool! So, for some mission critical apps, the government does get it. For everything else, they are clueless!
Just thought some of you would like to know that.
Cheers
