I've seen something like this on a couple of different boards... Not sure how they implement it. If it was something easy to do I would go for it. The only down fall I see for this would be that none of the old stuff would be in there.
I was reading Izan Seth / mcdougrs's lastest post when I came up with an idea...what if we added a section onto LJR that included break/fix problems and resolutions? Im really not into having any kind of virtual help desk enviroment established since it would be a full time job in itself, but it would be a great noise maker for the community and perhaps assist the influx of newbies Ive seen recently.
Thoughts?

Crap, I just posted something along these linesSome mod I am, missing this one !!
Well, I am definitely on board here. I started one for FC, and will maintain one for each release.

That would be awesome. I think, since a lot of people use Slackware, we can start one for Slackware. And also gentoo.
Coltrane, I think this is an awesome idea. We could also do something like software specific break/fix'es. So, for instance, we could have under Xorg/XFree:
Error: No Screens Found
Solution: Foo - bar.
Anyways - thanks for the idea..
I agree, except we need to have specific things. IE no screens found could mean anything in your config is fubar.

We could have cases,
Error: No Screens Found
Case 1: Blah is messed up:
Solution: fix Blah
Case 2: Foo is messed up
Solution: fix Foo
etc.

I'd say we need one for Ubuntu, but it already has one of the best wikis I've ever seen. I've found just about everything I need either on their Wiki or on their forums.

Are there common issues though that almost all users are going to run into? If so, at the very least, post links to the wiki.
