    linux w/ Cisco CB21ag wireless Card 802.11a/b/g

    HI,

    I'm running RH9 /XD2 and I have a Cisco 802.11a/b/g wireless card(CB21AG).

I'm trying to get them to work with no luck. I was using the a Proxim Gold b/g card with madwifi drivers but, I had to fresh install my OS and now the drivers aren't working. at least I might now have them configured correctly. Actually both cards have the Atheros chipsets so if I can get it to work with one then I might get it to work with the other. My question is

How to I get pcmcia/cardctl/cardmgr (or what ever assigns drivers) to recognize the card when I insert it and associate that card with a particular driver(s)?

Does anyone know if the CB21AG has ever worked on linux?

    Thanks,

Aparently, Cisco provides drivers for it:

I did see that but, notice

"Client Utilities and Driver. Supports 350 Series: PCM, LMC, PCI, and MPI Client Adapters. Supports Radio Firmware up to and including 5.30.17. Supports Linux Kernel 2.4.18 and 2.4.20-28."

I don't think my CB21AG is any of these. I did install it anyway and didn't have any luck. My machine does load what seems to be the old "airo" drivers but, I'm sure those don't work. That's why I'd like to load atheros drivers(madwifi) instead.
