Yes distro building is easy didnt you know?
no really it isnt really hard to do i do it for a liveing.
Where i have trouble is factering in every possible option building 30,000 packages tends to take awhile.
I am also known for doing crazythings
Like laster year i built a game installer that installed every game on linux game tomb yup every possible game even ones i had to buy.
Because someone said i couldn't do it in a week.
Plus i have loads of help.
I have never wiped my ld.so.conf file before but that was a painless exsperance thanks to you.
Hay if you ever wish to help us out let me know im looking for some good people.
LOL - another cli freak

try
Code:find / -type d -name lib > temp.ld
Only problem with that is you will get /var/lib hits which aren't necessarily system libs that need to be loaded - do an ls /var/lib and you'll see what I mean.
The only reliable way is by asking the library loader what it has loaded and that is "ldconfig -p"
Nothing wrong with doing your way but you will get an abnormally large ld.so.conf file that will waste time on bootup as it checks for libs. This can also cause the bootup to fail in rare instances but can happen.
I thought a 1.9meg temp.ld file was a little big LOL
