that is what happens when your country doesn't have a decent public library system..
Honestly, what does this do that a public library doesn't - aside it not being timelimited as such, and the selection being much poorer (compared to the danish public library system)

I do not think this project aims to replace libraries. the objective is quite different. I think the frame of mind is to get a sense of satisfaction by introducing a book you love to a stranger. Libraries have nothing to do with this.

I saw this a while ago, and think this is a great idea. Libraries are a great idea as well. But with this if you REALLY love the book you can keep it, or at least keep it longer than you could with a library. And it encourages donations more than a library does.
