    gaim for SUSE?

    Will Fedora or mandreake rpm install work on suse?

    I would not risk it. You can probably get the correct one by using YaST.

    Suse has an application called YaST, that allows you to download and install applications. It probable has a version of Gaim for SUSE.

    Trickster is correct. I just ditched SuSE 9.1 (really bad FTP install, had to get rid of it) and I could get Gaim over the updater. However, I highly reccomend compiling the source from their most recent release if you use Yahoo. The jerks keep changing the protocol and thus needing an update constantly. As of now, the latest is .80.

    You don't need to FTP it - it is available through the http download in iso formta from novell.com.
