Wireless Network

If I have a wireless router hooked up to the computer with internet access, does it need a wireless Nic also? I know the remote computers would need wireless nic.

Nope. Only the remote boxes that wants to use your wireless router as gateway to the Net connection.

Will the newer wireless pc cards work with my IBM 233mhz Thinkpad laptop? I guess it's a PII...Are there any minimum specs for the system?

Well since posting this, I have seen most require at least a 300mhz system. What are the chances it would work with 233mhz?

If you have slot II type, it should work.

Aside from hardware manufacturers demanding higher CPU speed ( to get the safe side of things ), I can't see what the difference make just to get a NIC working whether wireless or what not. I mean, :
