Doom 3

So Doom 3 goes on sale in NZ tomorrow, dont know about the rest of the world. And apparently their will be Linux binaries shortly after. Who plans on buying this game then?

I stopped into Best Buy the other day while tC was getting tinted, and stopped in my tracks.....I was hoping to see "Linux Disk Inside" on the box, but oh well. Im not a gamer, but I'll buy THIS game.

the greatest flaw with doom3 in my opinion it the constent dark just get's annoying after a while, there should be greater variation in the light, but it's playable on my machine.
1.4 ghz amd thunderbird, 512 ddr, geforce 4 128 ddr
but I do strongly recommend more ram

There is a setting in the config file that you can change to make it run more smoothly on middle of the road machines. Its something like ram_cache 32, you can set it to 256 or so, depending on the amount of ram you have. Google should be able to give the details.
