Where to get OS 8.5, 8.6, and/or 9.1?

Hello, I just got a nice deal on a powerbook 1400 off ebay..I has os 8.1 on it, but I would like to bump it up to 8.6 or 9.1...i know 9 and 8.5 can be upgraded for free, so does anyone know of anywhere that you can still buy these old os's? and not at a rediculous price that would be paid if it was new(ish)

I will look if there is any when I visit my local shops. Sometimes, they can be really cheap especially old OS CDs.

also, are there any linux distros that will run on that? I was reading at yellowdog that it will definitely not work and some other sites said there wasnt much in the way of linux possible with the 1400...something about it being a NuBus mobo or something

I have a blue Imac, the virst version, with cd-tray, and i installed Mandrake on it without any problems, maybe gentoo could also run on those machines
