Well thats dissapointing. I don't know why it struck me as so cool, but it just seems like a really different way to sort through directories and file, now if it could be integrated into the WM of DE that would be nice... double click a php file and it opens up in my favorite editor. Just different I guess.

I really dont understand the point in a 3d environment. It has been tested and 3d interfaces are less efficient.
I mean, it may look flasher, but is it really worth the extra CPU cycles? But then again, I dont even have a desktop background

i couldn't care less about the CPU cycles... what i'd be worried about is : "does a 3D environment allow me to switch between applications more easily and faster?" seeing as how i can currently switch between applications simply by pressing alt-tab, and having it switch to the new application instantly, i really can't imagine a 3D desktop being more efficient. It would look good, but i wouldn't wanna use it.

Well apparently apps dont work well within it. X11 Fullscreen isnt there yet. So now that I wasted the time to download, I finally read the whole article ;D

Yeah I read the whole article and don't know if it worth trying out yet.
Who knows, I could get pretty bored and it would be a good project.
