A trying to connect to a remote device using wvdial.
after login and password verification i get the following message
--> PPP negotiation detected.
--> Starting pppd at Tue Jun 29 09:43:17 2004
--> PPP daemon has died! (exit code = 16)
--> Disconnecting at Tue Jun 29 09:43:37 2004.
what are the possible reason to PPP daemon died?

i would move this to the tech support area, I think this is a fairly common issue. Unless if you have modified the dialer code...
As for why it is dying, I am not sure. Are you dialing out via command line? I would add the line noauth to the file /etc/ppp/options and see if that helps.
