What does RH9 and Fedora use for dialup access? Is there something similar to kppp?
Thnx.

pppconfig? /usr/sbin/pppconfig I believed. I haven't touch RH in a while so I'm not so sure. IIRC when I installed it for a friend in Asia, that's what I used.
well in the end it is using wvdial to get the job done.
Of course, but then again who wants Command Line?? :P
Me.
When shit fucks up, thats where you get the details.
Yeah, only when you HAVE to ...
Normally, it's a bitch to look at ( although it gets the job done so much quicker ).
Like yesterday, after compiling the new kernel, I managed to f*ck up my /var drive. So I had to recover the errors and run fsck manually. After all is done, all data on /var is gone. CLI was the only way to get, copy /var from other system and got it up and running again. But there were tons of errors ( mostly webmin related stuff since this box have no webmin ) but at least, I got back and x start again.![]()
