hehe getting into commercial aviation is hard, i think you need like 1500-2000 hours of flight before you get to fly the big boys. thats why you get your private, instrument, then commercial so you can make money and get your CFI so you teach other people how to fly and you build flight time with each lesson, so you are basically getting free hours. you then hopefully get called up by a company do fly some twin-engine planes for charter flights or business trips and shit. so when they hire you and pay YOU to fly, you are earnin money and flight time, some people move up to business jets and shit after that, then if you are lucky you get called up to the big leagues and hired by a commercial airline.

Yeah, most of the pilots in commercial are former AF pilots who flown cargo planes ( which are basically the same as airliners ).
