I have downloaded it and followed the instructions to a tee ie delte earlier version etc, much to my surprize I fired it up and yikes my addy book is stil there my extra folders are still there and all my filters are still there and they are all working! And people said it was a problem to upgrade Thunderbird all I can say is phooey to them.
I can't wait 'till Evolution hits 2.0 myself. Soon....soon...
I haven't tried thunderbird. As soon as one of my yum repos starts carrying it I'm all over it though. I love firefox so I'm going in with a good impression.
Ok I figured I'd revive this old thread rather than start a new one.
I just grabbed Thunderbird 0.7, and I'm in LOVE!
This is EXACTLY the kind of email client I've been looking for! Simple, intuitive, and with a great feature set. Unfortunately I have to keep Evolution around for its calandering (or at least until I can get evo data server up and running), but if it weren't for that both Pan and Evo would be history.
Oh man if only all of Gnome was this good!
