    3d-acceleration

recently my pc went beserk, i opened netmeeting once and hit the play button and my computer restarted, my guess is the webcam restarted it, there are times where if i touch my webcam the whole pc just reboots for no reason, it pisses me off anyway, when my pc restarted my icons looked like shit, and when i open flightsim it says

"fs2004 your computer cannot currently use 3-d hardware acceleration as it has less than the required amount of video memory"

i already tried the new ati driver but no go and messed with the settings too. im usin win2k sp4 and i have a 128mb radeon 9800. anyone have this problem before?

Get rid of the webcam. There appears to be a short in it. That may have caused other things to go haywire.

    Re:3d-acceleration - Fixed

i sure as fuck hope i didnt cook my radeon 9800, that fucker cost me $400. anyway i ran dxdiag and it told me netmeeting is still running and 3d acceleration may not work (ha! might have found the culprit) so i open the processes list and i dont see conf.exe. how do i kill this beast off?

edit: i opened netmeeting and closed it, and restarted dxdiag and all my tests were successful, hm ill try reinstall.

w00t, it works after reinstalling directx, nice call i applaud you
