Getting Lost In the Middle of Nowhere

I got lost in the Green Swamp on the way home from work a few days ago. I took the 'alternate' route because it was suppose to bypass a big accident on the interstate so, like an idiot, I took it. The instructions given out for this route turned out to be lacking in details leading me straight into the heart of the swamp, low on gas at night fall. I was terrified .. and I must tell you ... SWAMP PEOPLE ARE REAL AND THEY ARE PARANOID AS ALL! Also, outside if the road, there is nowhere to go. Everywhere else is either hovels and shanties with do not trespass signs and dogs or government signs saying trespassers will be shot.

Oh yeah, I freaked out and kept going eventually finding a trailer that wasn't made of sheet metal and barbed wire with 30 cars out front and got the use of a phone.

The whole ordeal could have turned into a horror movie!

By the way, do they have an equivalent to swamp folk (usually somewhat inbreed, paranoid, criminal behavior as work, generally violent, etc..) in other countries?

I say turn back, 'cause if you make it to or atleast the main road you can wave someone down and ask them if they have/can get some gas for you. if you freak out then your starring in your own horror movie

I agree. Get out your machete, which every has in their boot/trunk, and then go hunt some swamp folk. It really would be like a horror movie

These aren't usual peopel though. These are swamp folk. This is like a cross between the people on deliverance, and the people on texas chainsaw massacre.
