Accoording to this, your cd is mounted!!
Yeah... i just noticed that too! (thanks trickster).. what happens when you do a `ls /mnt/cdrom` ?
`lsof` to see what is using the cd.
This might be (ir)relevant so: what Destop Env. are you using? I found a similar problem on google and the person was using KDE and he switched to a different DE and he got it running.
