    Sync system time?

Hi, it seems that my system clock battery has actually died.... so i was wondering, from a newbie's standpoint, how can i set up my system clock to sync with a time server on bootup?

    Install ntpdate. Then just use

    ntpdate clock.redhat.com

ntpdate, rdate. These will keep you synced w/ a time server. Once synced, you should probably also keep your hardware clock in sync with your system clock, using

    hwclock --systohc
