    OS X and Samba

OK... I've got samba shares automounting (or at least, easy to mount) under OS X. New problem.

Linux box mounts some novell shares under a users home directory -

    /home/lusar/novell/server_volume

On the Linux box, I can see the volume and the files in it. On a Win2k machine, I can map a drive to \\linuxbox\homes and see /home/lusar/novell/server_volume and the files in it. On an OS X machine, I can only see the /home/lusar/novell folder, and none of its contents even though they are there.

    Any ideas?

Panther (and Jag) have an odd version of Samba that doesn't intereact well with certain other versions. You might try installing samba viewing tools via fink and see if you can see it that way first.
