I suggest Slackware.
I need a good distro that is fast for this laptop. can someone help me?
IBM ThinkPAD
HDD ~ 4.2 GB
Mem ~ 64M
Processor ~ 400 MhZ
Thanks!
I suggest Slackware.
never mind...i got Debian to install. the only thing that i don't like is that it uses KDE 2.2unfortunately!
There are backports of kde 3.x to woody but if you are concerned about speed you probably shouldn't be running kde on a machine with only 64MB of RAM anyway
Yeah..noticed that now...i am running fluxbox now..

I suggest IceWM, I even use it on my 1GHz.
Isn't IceWM just like KDE or GNOME...i meant in apps and the looks and stuff..
Lookswise, it represents win more than anything, only icons I use are mozilla and xterm.

I used to use IceWM when I was using Mandrake but now I am quite used to fluxbox but I might try IceWM.
