    AGP

    I've been looking at possibly replacing the motherboard in my computer for one that actually has some current specs. One thing that is confusing me has to deal with AGP standards. If I have a motherboard that has 4x AGP, does that mean that I can only buy video cards that are 4x or can I put an 8x AGP card in there but just not receive the full benefits of the 8x spec?
